We can’t wait to show our out-of-town guests the beauty of the 1000 Islands. We’d like to make the trip as smooth as possible for all those embarking on the journey. Therefore, we have laid out some travel and accommodation details. Since the St. Lawrence River borders New York and Canada, we highly suggest bringing your passport, as it is needed to enter Canada.
The weekend of August 7th is Pirates Weekend in Alexandria Bay, a very fun and busy time in the area. We want to highly encourage those that know they are making the trip to make their lodging reservations as soon as possible- to ensure a place to stay!

Alexandria Bay, NY
We recommend this spot for those looking for the weekend experience, where you won’t need your car to get around town because you’re close to everything. Restaurants and bars are in walking distance as well as boat tours and beautiful views of Boldt castle and the different islands.
